Patients can now view, cancel and rebook appointments directly within Dash Self with no staff intervention required

ATLANTA, [October 21, 2026] – Relatient, the leading AI-powered patient scheduling platform, has expanded self-service appointment management functionality within its award-winning Dash® platform, giving patients the ability to immediately manage upcoming appointments no matter how they contact their provider. Many self-scheduling solutions only let patients request or book an initial appointment but not manage or modify it, forcing them to call into a provider’s office with any updates. Through this expansion, Dash extends full appointment management into patient self-scheduling — viewing, booking, canceling, rescheduling and updating appointment details — across all digital access channels, with no staff intervention required.

“Patients have long wanted healthcare appointments to be as easy as booking a dinner reservation, yet too many practices still make them call or navigate clunky portals and then wait for confirmation,” said Jeff Gartland, Chief Executive Officer of Relatient. “Now, patients can experience that “OpenTable”-like experience for appointments with their provider no matter how they engage with the practice, from phone or agentic voice AI to online tools.“

In testing across thousands of appointments, 91% of patients who used appointment management completed an action, such as canceling, confirming or rescheduling, without a phone call or staff involvement. The experience requires no account creation or remembered login. Relatient securely verifies patients via two-factor authentication, and parents and caregivers can manage multiple family members without separate logins.

Real-time appointment management is powered by Relatient’s intelligent Dash® rules engine, which ensures every patient modification aligns with provider preferences, available appointment slots and visit-type logic. Dash is a Best in KLAS patient self-scheduling solution, HITRUST certified, SOC 2 compliant and HIPAA-ready, and is purpose-built to scale across health systems, specialty practices, multi-specialty groups and community health organizations. Relatient’s current clients have found that with Dash, 32% of patient appointments are self-scheduled outside of business hours, and have seen a 21% average reduction in canceled appointments.

“The data confirms what patients have been telling us for a long time. When changing an appointment is as easy as booking one, they use it,” Gartland added. “By taking the friction out of the system—while protecting the integrity of the clinical operations — practices can improve the patient experience before patients ever walk through the door or pick up the phone.“

Appointment management is available now to all Dash Self clients. To learn more about this feature or to request a demo, visit www.relatient.com.
